The name Pedra da Laguna comes from its location, right in front of the “Little Lake” peak (“Ponta da Lagoinha”), where there is a huge rock on top of which people climb to watch the breaking of the waves, that sometimes rise up to 10 m high, and from where you have a beautiful view of the islands of Ancora, Gravatás and Filhote.

It is a Buzios tourist spot and a definite stop when on a troley ride. According to esoteric people, this place is considered an “Aleph” (an energy/passage portal) bringing together all of nature’s forces in harmony and with lots of energy (wind, rock and water).

Ferradura Beach is 2 blocks and a short walk away; “Rua das Pedras” – renowed shopping street with lots of restaurants in the old fishing village of Buzios is 5 minutes away; while the hotel itself is located right in the middle of an environmental protection area – the “Lagoinha”.
