Adjacent to the masterpiece Church of St. Francis of Assisi, by Aleijadinho this 1747 building accommodates the Pousada do Mondego, situated in the geodesic centre of former Vila Rica. The pousada reflects the charm and dignity of Ouro Preto, the former capital of Minas Gerais, a historic city designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1980.

To preserve history, the Pereira family included all the comforts of modern hospitality, while reshaping structures with original materials; maintaining the authentic ambiance and services with the warmth and traditionalism that is genuinely “Mineiro”.
