The Lodge is a preservation project, strategically located on the edge of Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, at an altitude of 750 meters. The 500 hectares private reserve encompasses 2 seasonal waterfalls, several trails, a belvedere, an observation tower and the main sources of the River Independência that feeds the varied and lush waterfalls of the Circuito das Águas National Park.
With a small structure of only 10 apartments, the Pousada was built with reused wood already cut logs. It possess an affluent treatment plant and a pioneering solar cooling and heating project in partnership with the German authorities.
Its privilege location, added to the scenic beauty of the sandstone walls of the Chapada, makes it the ideal place to observe more than 250 species of birds from the cerrado – Brazilian savanna, besides numerous species of animals, insects and various species of vegetation endemic to the region.
